A Hotel With Millions Stars - Wadi Rum, Jordan | Naturalist | Em.Pi.Ju.

"life is too short, take your chance to visit Wadi Rum."

Zidane

GENERAL INFORMATION
Located in southern Jordan close to Aqaba (the Red Sea) and Petra (one of the world’s Seven Modern Wonders) this phenomenal desert wilderness with its amazing red and white sand is a Unesco World Heritage site listed for both cultural and natural (natural phenomena or beauty) importance. Wadi Rum is 1 of only 27 sites in the world listed for both cultural and natural importance.
If you seek a real Bedouin experience this camp is a great choice as you will experience authentic situations and activities and not trumped up activities for the sole benefit of the tourist.

The Wadi Rum camp offers numerous sleeping arrangements including sleeping in a Bedouin tent with beds, pillows and blankets supplied by us. Or, if you feel like being in touch with nature you can choose to sleep outside under the stars; with your friends or for protection elect a local Bedouin as your safety person.

ITINERARY
At the camp the atmosphere is one of peace and beauty. Be prepared to enjoy sunset, a tasty dinner, a few chapters of a book, a walk in the sand and meeting fellow travelers from all over the world.

Wadi Rum Camp Tents
We have many options: whether you are a solo traveler or a group of 100 we can always accommodate you.
- The Wadi Rum Camp comprises two deluxe tents that contain private bathroom and shower facilities.
- The other tents have shared facilities.

Wadi Rum Camp breakfast
Breakfast is served at 7:00 a.m. after sunrise. We have different jams, hummus, bread, cheese and Bedouin whisky, which is tea with sugar and sage. If you are a coffee drinker, you will be able to have a Turkish-style coffee.

Wadi Rum Camp Lunch
What activities and tour you choose will determine if we cook you lunch in the desert or if you simply buy some food from the local shops and make your lunch. The most important thing is that you will be fed well and eat somewhere special in the desert. For some tours, we include a lunch box.

Wadi Rum Camp Dinner
Dinner is served after sunset. You will get a big meal, called Zarb, which is cooked in the local way, i.e., under the sand. It takes about 2 hours to cook this plate, and it tastes like a roast dinner. Roast chicken, onion and potatoes are cooked under the sand. Other dishes to accompany the Zarb include a vegetable curry, yoghurt with cucumber, and salad. You are allowed to obtain a second portion of Zarb and even a third one if you have been on a tour all day long and need to get your energy back.

WHO I AM

I am a Bedouin from the ancient tribe "Zalabieh". I was born in the desert, and so were my father and my grandfather. I live in the protected area of Wadi Rum. I grew up in a big family. I have 28 brothers and sisters (29 including me).

I am the owner of 'The Bedouin Meditation Camp." I work with tourists who come to visit the beautiful Wadi Rum Desert. I have been working with tourists for more than 20 years.

When you are in the desert you feel you are alone in the world.
